Since 2023, the biopharmaceutical and health industry in the aviation port area has risen to prominence. Following the construction concept of "one hospital, one city, one industry cluster" and the "five in one" integration of medical education, research, production, and capital, we have deeply promoted the integrated development of "five medical" industries, promoted the formation of a first-class biopharmaceutical and health industry cluster in China, continuously improved the scientific and technological height, industrial concentration, and value thickness of the Central Plains Medical Science City, and accelerated the creation of a highland of innovation in Central Plains medical science and technology. At present, Zhongyuan Medical City has signed 73 "medical" brand projects, registered 243 biopharmaceutical enterprises, signed contracts to introduce multinational companies such as Bidi Medical from the United States, Philips from the Netherlands, and Resmay from the United States, and introduced 54 central and leading biopharmaceutical enterprises such as Sinopharm, China Resources, General Motors, and CITIC. It has become a partner with 13 top 100 pharmaceutical industry enterprises and achieved full coverage of its main biopharmaceutical central enterprises. The construction of the "ecological circle" of the Five Medical Bases is accelerating, with 11 clinical research institutes of the Provincial Academy of Medical Sciences settled in and 3 industrial research institutes under construction. Ten public experimental platforms, including new drug screening and testing platforms, large molecule drug CDMO platforms, and small molecule preparation CDMO platforms, are being integrated and built. Iconic projects such as the "Two Schools, Two Institutes, and One Center" (Zhengzhou University Henan Medical College New Campus, New Research University (under construction), Henan Provincial People's Hospital South Campus, Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences Cancer Hospital Henan Hospital, Henan Red Cross Blood Wave Center) have been launched in batches, while major projects such as the Cell and Gene Therapy Industrial Park and the General International Medical Health Park have started construction. The "one-stop" administrative service system is constantly improving, introducing the Hong Kong Administrative Approval Service Office of the Provincial Medical Products Administration to achieve pre-approval and forward service, providing a convenient environment for on-site registration and application of drugs and medical devices.

Henan Academy of Medical Sciences

It is a new type of comprehensive medical research and development institution in the province organized by the People's Government of Henan Province and a core base and public platform for medical science innovation in the province. Focusing on clinical problem-solving, research problem solving, business incubation, promotion and application, a full-factor medical science innovation ecology of basic research + clinical technology research + achievement transformation + science and technology finance + talent support + industry cultivation has been formed. On July 15, 2023, the Reconstructed Provincial Academy of Medical Sciences has been listed in Zhongyuan Medical Science City. There are 11 research institutes in ophthalmology, reproductive health, electrophysiology, oncology, rehabilitation medicine, brain science, intelligent medicine, cardiovascular diseases, pediatric medicine, infection and immunity.

Henan Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine

Focusing on the functional positioning of new R&D institutions and open service platforms, an innovation ecology of "organic integration of primary, secondary and tertiary industries, integrated development of medical education, research and industry" has been initially formed, and "six systems" of basic research, clinical research, research and development of traditional Chinese medicine resources, information literature research, high-level talent gathering and industrial development have been constructed, in accordance with the '1+3+N" model (1: the headquarters of the Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences, 3: the core base of the national traditional Chinese medicine innovation platform, and N: the leading enterprises and listed enterprises related to traditional Chinese medicine).
